The darling of Darlinghurst, Love, Tilly Devine is celebrating her 16th birthday with a proper party on Thursday, October 29th from 5pm. Tickets for the night are $30 per person and include entry, as well as a selection of roaming snacks throughout the night.
Tucked down an alleyway in Darlinghurst, Love, Tilly Devine is one of Sydney’s favourite, OG wine bars, which paved the way for the city’s natural, minimal intervention wine revolution. Since opening in 2010, the 40-seater bar has always championed Australia’s burgeoning natural wine scene and is proud to offer the entire 80-strong wine list by the glass, showcasing the country’s young, up-and-coming small producers. While these hold a special place on the list, guests will always find a selection of carefully considered international inclusions, too.
Named for the notorious 1920s Sydney crime-boss, Madame and underbelly figure, Tilly Devine, the wine bar exudes a whisper of her rebellious spirit to this day… In Love, Tilly Devine’s early era, she hosted some raucous parties (IYKYK), before settling down and providing the backdrop for countless first, second - and occasionally last - dates, Happy Hour, private parties, chic urban weddings, spontaneous nights out, after work drinks and regular Tilly Takeovers with some of the country’s best winemakers.
It's no mean feat to survive 16 years in an ever-evolving, often challenging, hospitality landscape, and this celebration is a nod to the team, past and present, the growers…
