About

Join our ukulele for beginners short course and learn to play this fun, cheerful and easy-to-carry instrument.

Our next course starting 19 October is fully booked. However you are welcome to join our waiting list in case of cancellations. Contact the centre on 02 9298 3134 or [email protected] or drop in during opening hours.

The ukulele is a great instrument for beginners. It is small, light, affordable and easier to learn than many other instruments.

You can start playing simple songs quite quickly, and it is a wonderful way to relax, meet new people, improve your wellbeing and enjoy music in a friendly group.

This 4-week beginner program on Monday evenings is perfect for anyone who would like to try something new, build confidence and have fun.

Bring your own ukulele if you have one, or borrow one of ours during the class.

No experience needed. Just bring your enthusiasm and get ready to make music!

We aim to deliver inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access or communication needs please contact us on 02 9298 3134 or [email protected].

The Pyrmont Community Centre is open Monday to Thursday from 9am to 9pm, Friday from 9am to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

We have a fantastic line up of events for all ages and interests. Whether you're keen to get active, learn a new skill, or meet your neighbours, there's something for everyone – and don't forget, we also have a gym to help you stay in shape!
