We’re delighted to welcome Julius Paetzold, Export Manager for Robert Weil, to personally host an in-depth journey through one of the Rheingau’s most celebrated estates.
Across 10 wines, Julius will take us from regional Rheingau Riesling into the heart of Kiedrich, exploring Klosterberg, Turmberg and the legendary Gräfenberg.
The focus is firmly on the newly released 2024 vintage, but the real centrepiece is a three-vintage vertical of Gräfenberg GG — 2024, 2023 and 2022. Tasted side by side, it’s a fantastic opportunity to understand both the character of this great vineyard and the influence of vintage.
We then step up to the remarkable Monte Vacano Riesling Trocken 2023, one of Robert Weil’s most ambitious and sought-after dry Rieslings, before finishing with Gräfenberg Spätlese 2024 and Turmberg Auslese 2024.
It’s a complete journey through Robert Weil: Rheingau to Kiedrich, village to vineyard, three vintages of Gräfenberg, and dry Riesling through to Auslese.
With Julius Paetzold hosting personally and snacks served alongside the tasting, this is a rare opportunity to experience Robert Weil in remarkable depth without leaving Sydney.
