Thursday 15 October | The Metropole Library
Settle into the old-world elegance of The Metropole Library for an intimate evening of Australian wine, artisan cheese and spirited conversation.
Hosted by wine educator Clio Collar, this relaxed 90-minute tasting will introduce you to eight thoughtfully selected Australian wines, showcasing an intriguing mix of grape varieties, regions and winemaking styles.
Meet Your Host
Clio brings more than 15 years of experience gathered across Argentina, the United Kingdom, South Australia and Sydney. Her career has spanned winemaking, wine tourism, fine wine retail, importing and education.
Warm, knowledgeable and wonderfully down-to-earth, Clio has a gift for making wine feel fascinating without making it feel complicated. Throughout the evening, she will reveal the stories behind each bottle and explore how climate, soil, weather and the winemaker’s hand shape what ultimately arrives in your glass.
Each tasting will be accompanied by a generous selection of artisan cheese, crackers, dried fruit and olives, all served amid the quiet romance and heritage charm of The Metropole Library.
Whether you know your varietals by heart or simply enjoy discovering a beautiful bottle, this is an evening designed for curiosity, conversation and good company.
