Talks on Tuesdays is a live event series bringing big ideas, real experts, and curious minds together - at your favourite local venues. Think thought-provoking lectures, audience questions, and post-talk mingling over drinks and dinner.

This isn’t a uni lecture. It’s a social, intelligent night out.Come alone or with friends, leave with something to talk about.

Attenborough and the Environment: Do glossy nature documentaries actually help the planet, or are they just the world’s most expensive screensaver?

Your Speaker:

Dr. Chadden Hunter is a Queensland wildlife biologist and filmmaker who has spent the last two decades working alongside Sir David Attenborough. After completing a PhD on gelada baboons in the mountains of Ethiopia, Chadden worked with the BBC and National Geographic, filming everything from tribal ceremonies in Africa to snow leopards in Pakistan. On the original Planet Earth series he became known as 'the guy covered in bat poop', and whilst filming Arctic wolves for Frozen Planet learnt that minus 40C was cold enough to freeze his eyes shut. His films and TV series including Wild Arabia, Seven Worlds - One Planet, The Platypus Guardian and most recently The Raftsmen have won over twenty Emmy and Bafta awards. Chadden Hunter Films now…
