Encounter with Chinese Calligraphy

About

🖌 Encounter with Chinese Calligraphy

Slow down for a morning of writing, observation, and quiet exploration through Chinese calligraphy.

This session invites participants to experience Chinese characters not only as language, but also as form, rhythm, and reflection. Through brush writing, quiet observation, and guided practice, we explore calligraphy as a way of slowing down and reconnecting with inner attention. Together, we will look closely at the structure and meaning of a selected character, learn simple brush techniques, and spend time practicing through guided writing.

Rather than focusing on perfect results, this session encourages a slower and more attentive way of writing — noticing the movement of the brush, the balance within each character, and the space between strokes. The practice of calligraphy here is approached not only as an art form, but also as a quiet process of reflection and connection with oneself.
