This is a drawing class that starts where you are!
Whether you are starting from scratch or wish to expand on your enthusiasm for drawing, come and join this small group workshop during the September school holidays, and receive quality one-on-one drawing instruction by local artist Jo Morris of Orchard Street Gallery, using the environment at Forestvale Farm as subject material.
Whether you have a creative kid (ages 10+) who loves animals and fresh air, or you’re simply looking to enjoy an activity together with your child over the holidays, this is the thing for you. Equally, you are welcome to drop the kids and spend the day elsewhere. There is plenty to see in the local area.
Art in the Pasture will be held on the beautiful rural property Forestvale Farm just 15 minutes north of Taralga in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, hosted by the owner, farmer and animal wrangler Nadine Wood.
Sessions will focus on observing and sketching horses in the morning session, and the afternoon session will see us drawing fixed objects such as farm equipment or horse tack. Drawing locations will be dependent upon weather.
The sessions will be punctuated by healthy snacks for morning tea and sandwiches and fruit for lunch (most dietary requirements can be catered for but please provide specifics when booking). Welcome to bring supplementary items if desired.
Workshop will commence at 10am and wrap up by 3pm.
All art materials will be provided however you will need:
