This talk explores how early life experiences "get under the skin" by altering the epigenetic marks that regulate our genes, subsequently influencing how the brain develops and affecting health across the lifespan.Professor of Neuroscience, Richelle Mychasiuk will explain why DNA is not destiny,revealing how early life adversity can modify gene expression to increase both susceptibility to—and resiliency against—physical and mental health conditions later in life.
