Come and meet Maya Linnell, one of Australia's most-loved rural romance authors, as she talks about her writing life and newest novel, Sunrise at Sunny Cross Farm.

A former country journalist and radio presenter, Maya grew up in a small country town and has never left country life behind. She writes about the world she lives and loves, from orphaned lambs and country show baking to the tight-knit communities at the heart of rural Australia.

Her eighth novel, Sunrise at Sunny Cross Farm, is set on a sunflower-filled property in South Australia, where a reality TV show, a cautious widower and a fiercely independent mum create the perfect recipe for small-town chaos and unexpected love.

It's a warm, witty and big-hearted story about family, second chances and finding the courage to trust again, told with lashings of country charm and heart.
