About

An exhibition from Ponch Hawkes and Ian Bracegirdle exploring themes of belonging.

Ian presents studio paintings that are collected narratives alongside portrait works that have been driven by the notion of ageing and invisibility and sculptural forms exploring a different kind of personal landscape.

Ponch is fascinated by bears and humans, dancing together in her dreams both awake and asleep.

Her long established photographic work explores the themes of the body, the environment, community and relationships through a feminist perspective. In 2026 her work was exhibited at The Australian National Gallery and the National Gallery of Victoria. This is Ponch's first painting exhibition.
