October Art in the Park

About

Art in the Park is a free creative social space for queer folks, their friends, family and allies.

Each month there’ll be a new craft activity to try, or you’re welcome to bring along your own creative project to work on at your own pace.

For October, we'll be doing DIY sprinkle-making.

We’ll be stamping and cutting out our own sprinkle shapes, including some spooky designs for spooky-season enthusiasts. Then you can decorate and customise a little glass jar or vial to take your sprinkles home in.

More information:

• This group welcomes folks aged 13+, or accompanied by a parent/carer if under 13.
• The group is held at Groom Park. You can find us by looking for two large colourful striped picnic blankets.
• The group runs from 4:00–6:00pm. Drop in anytime and stay for as long or as little as you’d like.
• You’re welcome to participate in whatever way feels best for you. Have a yap with the group, chill and listen to music, do your own thing, or simply exist in the space.
• What to bring: All craft materials are provided. You’re welcome to bring your own project, fidgets, or anything else that helps you feel comfy. Please bring your own water bottle and a hat and/or jacket, depending on the weather.
• Pronouns and names are respected. We use the pronouns and names people share for themselves. If you’re unsure of someone’s pronouns, kindly ask.
• All identities are respected. All gender identity, sexual orientation, and expression is valid in this space.
