Join us for a relaxed and creative hands-on textile workshop where participants will design and create their own embellished fabric piece.
We will provide kits containing coordinating fabric pieces in complementary colours, along with a variety of decorative materials including beads, buttons, braid, lace, and other embellishments. Participants will be encouraged to explore colour, texture, and composition while creating a unique design.
Our Textile Lab team will bring a fully stocked haberdashery box containing needles, pins, scissors, threads, and other essential sewing tools. A team of approximately 5 to 8 experienced volunteers will be available throughout the session to offer guidance and support with design ideas, layout planning, basic stitching techniques, and finishing touches.
Materials and Tools: All materials and equipment supplied
Skill Level: Suitable for all abilities
*If you are below 12 years old and need extra help, an adult must be with you to assist.
*If you are aged below 16, an adult must sign you in and stay present in the library during the workshop.
