Join a fun, interactive, and welcoming community celebrating the diversity of Melbourne. They teach Afro-Brazilian rhythm, song and movement at regular workshops in a style traced through the lineage of groups (or 'nations') such as Estrela Brilhante, Leão Coroado, and others. Estrela do Mar share a living tradition of maracatu locally to promote social inclusion, break cultural barriers, and facilitate community building and engagement.
No musical experience is required; all instruments provided.
