One of German techno's most precise operators plays an extended set in Sydney on Sat, 29th August. Hamburg-based, Ideal Senso label boss, longtime Watergate resident - Huntemann has spent two decades building a sound that's stripped, mechanical and relentlessly physical. Not a nostalgia booking. A working techno DJ at the top of the format.

The Artist

Huntemann came up through electro and rave before settling into the taut, engineered techno he's known for. He's run Confused Recordings, Ideal Audio and now Ideal Senso. Five albums deep - Too Many Presents For One Girl, Fieber, H-3, Paranoia, Propaganda. Remix credits include Depeche Mode, The Chemical Brothers and Underworld. His long-running partnership with Dubfire produced Dios, Diablo, Humano and the Elements series (Terra, Fuego, Aqua) — records that still get played nightly a decade on.

Australian audiences have caught him at Strawberry Fields and Let Them Eat Cake.
