About

Discover the Makerspace at Darling Square Library with your children in this fun, hands-on session. Explore a range of creative and STEM activities using maker kits, microscopes, a marble run, wind tube, electronics and robotics kits.

The key activity for this month will be 3D printing.

We’ll introduce you to a series of fun projects designed to develop your creative thinking skills. You could learn some basic coding to use a Sphero robot, or build simple circuits. Explore our Little Bits wall or complete a basic laser cutting project by etching a design onto plywood, acrylic or rubber.

Each monthly workshop offers different activities over the 2-hour session. Please note: while these activities vary each month, we do repeat some activities.
