Join us for an exciting walking tour of Castlecrag, where you'll discover the hidden gems of this charming suburb.

Surely this is one of Sydney’s most picturesque suburbs, perched on a rocky peninsula surrounded by the sparkling waters of Middle harbour. Castlecrag was recognised as a special place by Canberra’s designer Walter Burley Griffin and his partner Marion Mahony, way back in the 1920's. They made a plan for Castlecrag to be developed as the perfect garden suburb, with small houses surrounded by trees and rocky outcrops.

Ben, is your volunteer tour leader who has many stories to tell in this two hour walk.

Discover the many Griffin pathways winding down and through Castlecrag, leading to many architectural gems new, contemporary and heritage designed homes.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn about Castlecrag's fascinating past and present.

Instructions

Please wear comfortable walking shoes as it is a very hilly terrain in parts and you are traversing bush pathways . Tours operate regardless of weather, therefore bring a hat and/or umbrella.

In consideration of others, please do not attend if you are feeling unwell on the day. Please arrive at the start point 5 to10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
