Dinner with the Stars combines good food and astronomy for a memorable evening at Lanyon Homestead.
The experience begins with a two-course dinner in the historic surrounds of Lanyon Homestead, accompanied by an introduction to the night sky and what visitors might discover later in the evening.
After dinner, guests head outside with astronomers from Mt Stromlo Observatory to explore the night sky through powerful telescopes. Discover planets, stars and distant objects while learning more about the universe from expert astronomers.
Set on the southern outskirts of Canberra, Lanyon Homestead offers an ideal setting for stargazing, away from much of the city's light.
Dinner with the Stars is suited to couples, families, groups of friends and anyone curious about the night sky. It brings together gastronomy and astronomy for a distinctive evening at one of Canberra's historic places.
