Inspired by a true story and spanning eight decades, Johno follows the remarkable life of a young boy deported from Scotland to Australia at just seven years of age. Set against the backdrop of Castledare and Clontarf Boy's Home, rural Western Australia, the Vietnam War and a decades-long search for justice, the novel is a moving story of resilience, survival and the enduring impact of the past.

Moderated by award-winning author Gerard McCann, this special evening offers the opportunity to hear Kathleen discuss the inspiration and research behind her compelling debut, followed by an audience Q&A.

Copies of Johno will be available for purchase on the night, courtesy of Dymocks Hay Street, and Kathleen will be delighted to sign books following the presentation.
