Sourdough Made Simple: A Beginner's Workshop with Kim Murakami

Always wanted to bake your own sourdough but didn't know where to start? This 3-hour hands-on workshop takes the intimidation out of sourdough and gives you the confidence to bake it in your combi steam oven.

You'll learn to care for a starter, make a loaf from scratch, showing you every step of this process, including stretching and folding the dough, understanding the importance of rest and patience in the fermentation process.

Plus, we'll cover the common mistakes to avoid and the different ways to bake your loaf in your oven.

In this workshop you'll leave with your own sourdough starter, sourdough dough and guide to bake at home. Along with the knowledge to continue your ritual at home.

What to bring, so you can take home your starter and dough:

1 X 750 mL–1 L straight-sided jars – for the starter

1 x 4-5L plastic container or large stainless steel bowl for your dough

No experience necessary, only loads of enthusiasm.
