The Science of Joints: Myths and measurements in the modern age -- They say that Rock & Roll never dies, but does joint pain?
In this talk, Dr Corey Scholes dissects what makes us tick, unpacks the things school never taught us, and goes head-to-head with the myths about joints, injuries and arthritis. We'll try to answer the big question: does it hurt because we rocked too hard, or didn't rock hard enough?
Along the way we'll talk to audience members on stage to show why the "normal" measures used in medicine don't fit everybody in the room.
Come away with a few stereotypes punched full of holes, and real insight into the evidence behind the treatments we're offered when things go wrong.
