Living Longer Living Stronger is a progressive strength and balance program designed to improve your strength, balance and mobility.
This class is full, contact the centre to add your name to the waitlist.
It doesn’t matter your level of fitness as each person will be individually assessed for their physical level and a tailored exercise program will be created for each attendee. The classes are designed for people of all levels of ability. Through regular attendance, you will gradually increase the level of work you do to develop your strength.
Strength training benefits include:
increasing muscles mass and strengthimproving coordination and confidence in the way you move, reducing your risk of fallsimproving insulin sensitivity and joint healthreducing anxiety and depressionincreasing brain function and learning.
The program also provides an opportunity for socialising and meeting new people.
Bookings are essential.
The program is also available at St Helen's Community Centre on Wednesdays 2pm, Cliff Noble Community Centre on Thursdays 10am and Ron Williams Community Centre on Fridays 10am.
