Get ready to feel the beat, find your rhythm and connect through the joy of music!
The Beat Connection brings Fred Ni Addo from One Spirit Africa to Geelong for an energising, hands-on West African drumming experience for families.
Guided by Fred, participants will explore the vibrant rhythms, songs, movement and stories of West African culture. Together, we’ll discover the excitement of making music as a group, building a thrilling rhythmic soundscape where every beat contributes to something bigger.
No previous drumming experience is needed. This is an opportunity for children and adults to join in, try something new, express themselves through music and experience the joy of creating something together.
Two workshop options
2:00pm - 3:15pm - Workshop 1
2:45pm - 4:00pm - Workshop 2
FREE but bookings essential. Afternoon tea provided.
