About

Honouring the past, embracing the present and inspiring the future, the festival celebrates the richness of Korean storytelling and the power of cinema to connect us.

A cultural bridge between South Korea and Australia, it brings audiences together through shared stories and fresh perspectives, building a partnership that drives culture forward.

Set in 15th-century Korea, The King’s Warden follows a deposed young king sent into exile and the village chief entrusted with his care. An unlikely friendship grows between them in this moving historical drama.
