CLEAR-CUT
Documentary premiere
The Servo, Port Kembla
Saturday 21st November 2026 - 5PM
One remarkable tree. A much bigger story.
It started with one tree.
A towering spotted gum. A forest worth fighting for. A filmmaker with a few questions.
When Andrew Kaineder learns that the forest surrounding Big Spotty is scheduled for logging after the Black Summer fires, he goes looking for answers.
What begins as a local campaign becomes a journey through the forests of New South Wales—and into the lives of the people determined to protect them.
Part eco-adventure, part stumped satire, part forest ecology for the rest of us. Clear-Cut asks what we stand to lose, and what we can still choose to save.
A Stitch Films Production. Directed & Produced by Andrew Kaineder & Elle Lawson
**All ages gig but u/18's must be accompanied and supervised by a parent / legal guardian**
