Join us for a five-session Playback Theatre training series where you will learn and experience the art of Playback Theatre, culminating in a Playback Theatre performance during the fifth session.
Across these sessions, you will explore the core forms of Playback Theatre while strengthening skills in active listening, improvisation, spontaneity, ensemble connection, and creative collaboration.
Together we will explore new ways to bring real stories to life through movement, voice, metaphor, music, and imagination. This training builds towards a supportive and playful final performance for friends and family, giving you the opportunity to apply what you have learned in front of a welcoming audience.
As part of this training, we are also working towards establishing and expanding an Adelaide Playback Theatre Company. Our vision is to grow a vibrant, community-focused ensemble that regularly performs Playback Theatre for the wider community. Please note that participation in this training does not automatically provide a spot in the Adelaide Playback Theatre Company.
We also have a guest facilitator for one of the sessions - Moira Were! See below for her bio.
