80s • 90s • Throwback Anthems | Sunday 29 November | Newcastle Harbour
Newcastle, get ready to throw it back.
Step aboard MV Calmer for Born to Dance: A Throwback Boat Party — three hours of iconic 80s and 90s hits, huge singalongs, guilty pleasures, dancing and summer party vibes on Newcastle Harbour.
We’re taking it back to the decades of big hair, bold fashion, legendary pop stars, rock anthems, R&B favourites and unforgettable dance-floor classics.
From the songs you grew up with to the tracks you still know every word to, our DJs will be serving up a high-energy soundtrack made for dancing, singing, reminiscing and letting loose on the water.
Think:
🎸 Bruce Springsteen • Bon Jovi
🪩 Madonna • Prince • Whitney Houston
💿 Britney Spears • Backstreet Boys
🔥 Beyoncé • Eminem • Usher • P!nk
🎶 Nelly • OutKast
…and plenty more of the biggest songs of the 80s and 90s.
Whether you're coming for the nostalgia, the dance floor, the harbour views or simply an excuse to get the crew together, Born to Dance is your Saturday night throwback party on the water.
Pull out the denim, neon, leather jackets, scrunchies and retro party gear — or simply come ready to dance.
