Bang Strutt is a project that has evolved from a chat over coffee and a casual jam into something that viscerally commands the focus of ARIA Hall of Fame, Angels and Skyhooks legend, Bob Spencer, who brings his pedigree and success as a creator of original music to a very hot band consisting of ex Mental as Anything touring bassist and university lecturer Pete Gray - composer, drummer and also ex-Mentals, Jacob Cook - and singer / actor from The Secret Life of Us, Heartbreak High, etc, Abi Tucker; a project resulting in an oddly matched, yet strangely compelling and original, outfit.
The foursome bring their skills as songwriters and performers who love to play, to move and be moved by music, within evolving soundscapes, that is gutsy, melodic and which inspires the roar, frenzy and hunt of an aging population that still have something to say in an ever changing and confusing world.
