A relaxed night of speed dating for singles aged 40–59, held in the stylish surrounds of Honey Rider bar in Neutral Bay.

How the night works

Arrive from 7pm and grab a drink at the bar. The first drink is on us (beer, house wine or house spirit, or 2 soft drinks). We'll check you in, give you a name badge and a simple scorecard, and let you settle in before we begin.

Once everyone's arrived, you'll move through a series of short one-on-one conversations of 5 minutes each until you've met every other guest in the room. A bell signals each rotation, so there's no awkward exit to manage and no one gets stuck.

What to expect

• Numbers kept deliberately balanced and the group small, so you get real conversations rather than a crowded, shouty room
• Everyone is in the same age bracket and there for the same reason
• A host who's present all night to make introductions, keep things moving and take the pressure off
• Around 60–90 minutes of dating, then the floor is yours: stay on for a drink and keep talking to the people you clicked with
• Mutual matches are shared with you by email afterwards, no one finds out who you ticked unless they ticked you back
