Join the City of Playford for Celebration of Ability 2026: The Table is Set, an evening celebrating, belonging and community connection in recognition of International Day of People with Disability.
This year’s event theme, The Table is Set, is about more than being invited. It is about being included, heard and valued, because every seat matters and everyone belongs.
The Playford Civic Centre will provide a welcoming space for people to come together, share experiences and celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with disability and others contributing to advancing inclusion across our community.
Guests can look forward to an enjoyable evening of live entertainment, stories reflecting personal experiences and community connections, refreshments and opportunities to connect with others. Guiding us through the evening will be MC Charles Brice, an ABC News Breakfast reporter, accomplished handcyclist and spinal cord injury ambassador.
The evening will also feature the 2026 Mayoral Awards, presented by Mayor Glenn Docherty. The awards recognise outstanding people, businesses, organisations and initiatives whose leadership, creativity and dedication are strengthening disability inclusion and connection across our community.
