Beethoven’s String Quartet in E-flat major, Op.127 – the first of his groundbreaking late quartets – opens the program with majestic chords and profound emotional range, followed by Grażyna Bacewicz's Quartet No.3. Completing the program is a world premiere by Naomi Dodd, an Australian composer whose music demonstrates keen intelligence and natural affinity for the string quartet form.
