Melbourne Advertising, Design & Creativity (MADC) returns with the second instalment of POD: Pioneers of Distinction - a live podcast series spotlighting the professionals shaping contemporary creativity.

This edition, From Idea to Premiere, takes audiences behind the scenes of Australian screenwriting, tracing the journey from first spark to final screen. Taking place on Friday, August 28, 2026, at St Kilda Lawn Bowls, the evening will bring together three of Australia’s most celebrated screenwriters for an intimate conversation about craft and the stories that stay with us long after the credits roll.

• Elise McCredie - From Stateless and The Clearing to Ride Like a Girl, Elise McCredie has written some of Australia's most celebrated screen stories. The acclaimed screenwriter's latest series, The Airport Chaplain, starring Hugo Weaving, premieres at MIFF just days before she joins POD.
