An Anti-War Concert Reflecting on War, Humanity and Peace
Music remembers what history cannot fully say.
On 24 October 2026, the South Australian International Musicians Association (SAIMA), in collaboration with FLY Music Academy, proudly presents Voices Beyond Borders, a powerful evening of live music at the historic Elder Hall, University of Adelaide.
Through some of the most moving and recognisable music from international cinema, this concert invites audiences to reflect on the human experiences of war, the fragility of peace, and the enduring power of compassion.
Not celebration, but remembrance.
Not victory, but reflection.
Not nations, but human lives.
An Evening of Music Beyond Borders
Music has a remarkable ability to communicate what words alone cannot express.
Across cultures and generations, film music has given voice to stories of courage, separation, suffering, resilience and hope. These melodies remind us that behind every conflict are individual lives, families, memories and dreams.
Voices Beyond Borders brings together musical works associated with films from different cultural and historical backgrounds, creating a shared space for remembrance, understanding and reflection.
Rather than celebrating military triumphs or presenting political narratives, this concert places humanity at its heart.
