Discover the art of portraiture at Pop-up Portraits, an outdoor pencil and charcoal life drawing event hosted by WA Portrait Artists. In this unique session, Perth performers will sit as live models (not performing) while you learn to capture their likeness with guidance from some of WA’s finest portrait artists.
All drawing materials will be supplied with a gold coin donation, though participants are welcome to bring their own. Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time or honing your skills, this is a relaxed and creative way to explore portrait drawing in the open air.
About WA Portrait Artists:
Formed in 2012, WA Portrait Artists is a collective of accomplished artists who each include portraiture in their practice. Members have been recognised in major national and international portraiture prizes including the Archibald, Doug Moran, Portia Geach, and Shirley Hannan or selected through juried membership. The association exists to support, inspire, and promote portraiture through collaboration, exhibitions, and community engagement.
