Ever wondered what your brain has in common with a fish?

More than you'd think. Dr Alice Clement is a palaeontologist and evolutionary biologist who spends her time peering inside ancient fossils and living animals using CT and X-ray scanning, building 3D digital "avatars" of creatures that lived hundreds of millions of years ago. Her work traces the deep history of our bodies, from the origins of teeth and fingers to the evolution of the brain itself, all the way back to the Devonian "Age of Fishes." Join Alice as she takes us on a journey through deep time to uncover how the fish-like creatures of our ancient past shaped the brains we carry around today.
