We are back for a third series of the overwhelmingly popular and successful fundamental drawing workshops
Hobsons Bay Arts Society Foundation Drawing Classes are designed for people ages 18+ wanting to learn the basic foundational skills in drawing, building confidence in their art practice, meeting new friends and having fun.
Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or more experienced, everyone is welcome to come along. All drawing materials will be supplied, including charcoal, paper, erasers, easels and more.
Key elements will be covered, including basic shapes and fundamental form, tonal values, edges, shading, texture, composition and perspective. Genres may include still life, landscapes, figures, portraits, flowers, birds. The key objective of the course is to build your confidence in sketching, drawing and learning to see angles, shapes, proportion, overlapping lines, edges and more.
