Linguas Language Exchange & Social is a weekly community event in Melbourne where people from around the world come together to chat, meet new people, make friends, and practise languages in a relaxed social setting.
We use flag badges to show the languages we speak and the languages we want to practise, with flags representing over 150 countries and regions. Your first flag is your native language and goes at the top. The rest can follow in order of ability or preference.
Linguas is open to all nationalities, cultures, and language levels. You do not need to be fluent, advanced, or even speak a second language yet. Whether you are learning English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, Italian, or any other language, you are welcome to join.
This is not a class. It is a friendly social language exchange where you can have real conversations, meet locals and internationals, and practise at your own pace.
Entry is $3.5 on Tuesdays and on Thursdays. Entry will be waived if you purchase a drink at the bar.
Linguas Australia no longer runs events at Diesel Bar. Diesel Bar was one of our previous venues. Our official Linguas Language Exchange & Social events have now moved to new Melbourne CBD venues.
