This collection celebrates the designers, labels and iconic styles that helped shape Australia’s fashion history. From the elegance of Melbourne and Sydney couture houses to beloved ready-to-wear brands found in homes across the country, this fascinating parade showcases decades of creativity, craftsmanship and changing trends.
Discover the work of renowned designers including Norma Tullo, Lucy Secor, Jonathan Elliot, Van Roth, Hartnell and many others whose designs defined Australian style throughout the mid to late twentieth century.
More than just fashion, each original label tells a story. Stitched inside dresses, coats, and suits, they offer a glimpse into the designers, makers, retailers, and wearers who brought these garments to life.
