What will Yorkeys Knob look like 100 years from now?
The Yorkeys Knob Residents Association and Yorkeys Knob Boating Club warmly invite our community to be part of a very special moment in our local history - the official burial of the Yorkeys Knob Time Capsule.
Created as part of our local celebrations marking Cairns’ 150th anniversary, the Time Capsule will preserve a snapshot of our community in 2026 - our stories, photographs, memories and pieces of everyday life, before being sealed for 100 years and opened again in 2126.
Come along and join us as we reflect on our past, celebrate the community we are today, and leave a message for generations we will never meet.
The morning will include guest speakers, community participation and the official burial of the Time Capsule, followed by light refreshments on the Boating Club deck.Everyone is welcome - we would love to see our Yorkeys Knob community there!
