Our new bird watching walks are a relaxed, social way to explore Brisbane’s beautiful parks and green spaces. Join Emma in learning more about the beautiful birds that call Karawatha home. Beginners are welcome. Walking in a group is a safe and supportive way to explore bushland, especially for those who may be unfamiliar with the area or prefer not to walk alone. Along the way, you might pick up interesting facts about local flora, fauna, and history, while enjoying the many benefits of walking, from improved health, community connection, and time in nature. Discover what makes this precious area special and learn more about our magnificent forest and its plants and animals as we explore. Don’t miss this fun family-friendly opportunity for a guided bushwalk with a difference. Moderate fitness required, this track has some uneven terrain, uphill sections and steps. This activity is for the general public. If you are a daycare or vacation group interested in attending a similar activity, send an email. Age: Strictly for ages10 years and over. All children must be supervised by an adult booked into the event. Requirements on the day Arrive 15 minutes early to check in with staff. Walks start at the advertised time. 1:4 adult to child ratio required. Moderate fitness required, this track has some climbs and steps. Wear secure, fully enclosed, comfortable walking shoes.
