Get Crafty: Hand-Embroidered Bookmarks at Kogarah Library

In this workshop you'll learn the basics of hand embroidery and use those skills to stitch your very own bird-themed fabric bookmark. We'll work through the key stitches together, then you'll decorate and adorn your bird in your own style.

Slow stitching is a technique worth having in your creative toolkit and known for its calming and relaxing effect. A great technique to discover or continue to explore.

In this workshop you'll:

• Learn basic hand embroidery and slow stitching techniques
• Stitch a bird-themed fabric bookmark
• Decorate and adorn your bird in your own style
• Leave with a finished handmade bookmark to keep or gift

No experience needed — everything is provided.

Cost: $8.50

Age: Adults 16+

Equipment: All materials and equipment will be provided.

About the Facilitator:

This workshop is facilitated by local artist Mary-Helen Daly. She is a qualified Transpersonal Art Therapist & Counsellor who helps people become their own creative doorway.
