Join a welcoming group for a relaxed morning, indoors and outdoors, whether you are an experienced gardener or simply enjoy being around plants and flowers. Sessions are led by David, an experienced nursery owner, and cover a range of gardening activities at Holdsworth.

The group also enjoys occasional bus outings to local gardens and nurseries.

Eligibility

This activity is funded through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and is available to eligible older people. To attend, you will need to have been assessed through My Aged Care and approved for a Group Social Support service type. If you are not sure whether you are eligible, or if you would like help getting started, please contact us.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to use Holdsworth transport to attend? No. If you are able to make your own way to 64 Holdsworth Street, Woollahra, the session fee is $13. Return transport is optional and available for $26.

What should I bring? Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Gloves and all tools are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Not sure if you have the right My Aged Care approval? To attend this activity, you need to be approved for Group Social Support under the CHSP. If you are not sure what your approval covers, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
