What do Sydney’s musical theatre performers do on their night off? Come spend it with us.

Night Off is Sydney Cabaret’s new industry series — a musical celebration bringing together performers, creatives and theatre lovers for a night of exceptional voices, unexpected songs and genuine connection.

Hosted by Olivia Vasquez and Jake Tyler, with musical director Elliot Styche at the piano, the inaugural Night Off features invited guest artists alongside exciting emerging talent from Sydney’s musical theatre scene.

But this isn’t another night of performers simply singing the songs you already know them for.

Night Off gives artists the chance to step outside their current roles, share something they love and let audiences get to know a little more about the person behind the performance. We’ll also shine a light on what our artists are doing beyond the stage — from upcoming shows and gigs to creative projects and side hustles worth supporting.

Some performers will be announced in the lead-up. Others you’ll discover when they take the mic.

Whether you work in theatre, dream of being on stage or simply love musical theatre, you’re invited.

Think of it as the cast party for all casts — and everyone’s invited.
