HOMECOMING — a women's circle
The body keeps things the mind learns to move past.
The tightness in your chest before a certain conversation. The exhaustion that has no obvious cause. The way your shoulders know before you do.
We spend a lot of time trying to figure ourselves out from the neck up. This September, we go a different way.
One question: what is your body trying to tell you that you haven't been listening to?
Homecoming is a monthly women's circle in St Kilda/Balaclava. Small — maximum 12 women — intentional, and built for the kind of conversations that don't usually happen over dinner, at work, or anywhere much really.
We arrive to the warmth of cacao tea. We come to it through the body first. A little breath, a little movement — enough to remember you're more than the list of things you need to get done today. Then we write, just for ourselves. Then we talk — no advice, no fixing. Just women in a room, being seen and heard.
We close with sound. We end slowly, with tea.
Not a workshop. Nothing will be fixed here. You'll leave exactly as you arrived — except perhaps a little more yourself.
Your host
I'm Sandra — yoga teacher, somatic practitioner, and someone who burned out so completely I forgot how to drive and froze in a park. I spent nearly a year learning, slowly, that healing didn't have to be painful.
I'm also a counselling diploma holder and trauma-informed practitioner — which mostly means I know how to hold what comes up without trying to fix it.
Plan it on Keen
Keen is how mates lock in plans: see who’s free, who’s keen, and actually make it happen.
