Step into a world of stories, imagination and creativity at the 2026 Young Readers Day Out.
Meet some of Australia’s most exciting authors and illustrators, including Renae Hayward, James Foley, Sally Murphy, Steve Heron, Jasmine Berry, Jen Sherrington and Laura Motherway.
Discover how books are written and illustrated, hear inspiring stories, and enjoy plenty of laughs along the way. Don't miss the thrilling Illustrator Duel, where Kelly Canby and Jasmine Berry will go head-to-head in a live drawing challenge.
Join us for a fun-filled day for children and families who love books, storytelling and creativity.
Suitable for childnren up to 12 years.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Max 4 children per an adult ticket.
This event is presented by the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, The Literature Centre and supported by the State Library of Western Australia.
