About
Some of us have to speak for long periods of time and also make it sound interesting!
Stage actors have some tricks up their sleeve to help them with stamina and tonality - using the breath and body to support the voice.
Through her own experience of practicing exercises, the facilitator will share tips and tricks on how to apply techniques to speaking in every day life.
Past participants have mentioned improved confidence, self-awareness and relaxation after these sessions.
In this session, you'll learn some methods and practices to help with:
stamina (be comfortable with different volumes, and speak for longer durations)
resonance (modulation and tonality)
articulation (clarity and languages)
The activities will include:
breathing: ways to breathe deeper and improve breath capacity to support the voice
physical movement: to support a clear passage for the voice
working out facial muscles: to help words come out easily
speaking something short to see immediate applications.
These exercises also double up as a somatic calming of the nervous system!
Whether you'd like to improve your voice or just breathe, move, relax and express... this session is one for you!
Take home:
a set of exercises to practice and improve vocal quality
suggestions for individuals/specific situations (if requested)
Plan it on Keen
Keen is how mates lock in plans: see who’s free, who’s keen, and actually make it happen.
