Celebrate Día de Muertos at Federation Square. Join MexVic for a free, family-friendly cultural festival celebrating one of Mexico’s most beloved traditions, honouring loved ones who have passed away while celebrating life through music, dance, food and community.
From 12pm, enjoy live entertainment, traditional Mexican folk dance, delicious food from Mexican inspired food trucks, cultural market stalls, face painting, the Jarritos Kids Corner and margaritas at the Cuervo Bar. Visit La Ofrenda, the traditional altar, and bring a photo of a loved one to be part of this special tribute.
The highlight of the day is the Catrina Walk at 2pm. Meet at the State Library of Victoria and join the colourful procession through Melbourne before returning to Federation Square. Dress in your most creative Catrina outfit for a chance to win a prize.
Come along, experience authentic Mexican culture and share a day full of colour, tradition and community. Everyone is welcome.
