Workshop and play with the team at Shades & Co Studios, where fun, colour and creatitivy fills the air. Our Studio currently has our 2026 exhibtion showing, and its a place where you can get to meet other creative people. The 'Tufting Studio' is one of our newest studio's, with wrought iron built standing frames.
Make your very own Tufted rug, bring a picture or use one of the Studio's.No previous drawing skills required, take a picture on your phone and we will project it onto the fabric for you to trace, then the fun takes place.
In this class you will be taught how to thread and use a tufting gun.
This is a 4-5 hour class, depending on speed, some people like to take their time, others like to set a pace, work at your own speed, you will also be served morning tea, snacks with softdrinks and water, where you may sit in the Studio lounge or at your work station.
Once your work is completed, you will learn how to cut, seal and place the backing for your rug.
