Zoe Copeland and her eleven-year-old daughter Florence need a new beginning. When a listing appears for a cottage in a tiny seaside town that's just within their budget, Zoe takes the leap—only to find the place is filled to the brim with junk. Her grouchy neighbour Jake thinks she's crazy for taking it on, though that doesn't stop him lending a hand, and it's not long before Zoe can't get the handsome man off her mind.
As they clear out the house, Zoe becomes increasingly intrigued by the woman who lived there before them—and as Marly's secrets are uncovered, Zoe's own past comes calling. With her heart and her home on the line, can she put all the broken pieces of her life back together?
