Ever wanted to learn Auslan – Australian sign language? Join us for an introductory session to this widely used language, used by approximately 16 000 people in Australia. Bought to you by qualified instructors from The Deaf Butterfly Effect, learn some basics signs and vocabulary to get started.

Suitable for ages 15+. Bookings are essential. If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your ticket to allow others to attend.

Location: Tirkanthi Kuu, Level 1, Payinthi.

The Deaf Butterfly Effect is a Deaf-led organisation dedicated to building inclusive and accessible communities through a range of services that support communication, connection and independence. Their work includes Auslan tutoring, Deaf awareness training, interpreting and translation services, community programs, mentoring, and specialist support for Deaf and hard of hearing people. Through education and engagement, they help bridge communication gaps and promote greater understanding of Deaf culture and Auslan within the wider community.
