Margaret is a local resident who has published a variety of short stories and articles in magazines, steadily building a body of work that reflects her curiosity, resilience, and passion for storytelling.
"Choking on Sulphur" is a gripping tale of resilience, survival, and the determination to break free from abuse. Set in the rugged mining town of Mt Isa during the 1960s, Lori Freelin struggles to find her place in a confusing world.
Speaking about her official debut — a story 23 years in the making, the writing process and the publising journey, Margaret will share her insights and thoughts.
